Gleb Zhukov
Gleb Zhukov, born in the settlement of Krasnoye on the Volga. Has lived in Plyos since 1990.
Studied at the Plyos art studio at the Plyos Museum-Reserve under A.G. and Yu.Yu. Lyachin; then under teacher V.M. Serebryakov at the Yaroslavl Art College, from which he graduated in 2010. The topic of his diploma work was the image of I.I. Levitan in Plyos.
Participated in exhibitions of the Plyos artists’ community. Took part in the regional landscape painting exhibition “Green Noise”.
The first personal exhibition of works was organized on August 30, 2010, at the I.I. Levitan House-Museum to mark the 150th anniversary of the great landscape painter. The author donated the graphic version of his diploma work to the Plyos Museum-Reserve.
In 2011, a personal exhibition at the Tretyakov Gallery, dedicated to the conclusion of the exhibition for the 150th anniversary of I.I. Levitan.
Studied in the workshop of Professor V.S. Pesikov at the I.E. Repin St. Petersburg Academic Institute.
In 2012, participated in the regional exhibition “Open Circle” at the Artists’ Union in Kostroma.
In 2013 – participation in the 11th zonal exhibition of the city of Lipetsk.
2013 – personal exhibition at the Levitan Hall, Ples.
2013 Personal exhibition at the Krasnoselsky Museum of Jewelry and Folk Art.
